Background

 

Let’s get this out of the way. Yes, the exhibition was called “The V Word Experience”. But I didn’t name it, I just had to make it cool to a 20s audience and stand out as a voice for Chicago social justice causes without any pictures of the yet-to-be-made exhibit. No small feat, right?

Using the exhibit’s color pallet, I curated a striking feed consisting of: Instagram Zines covering the exhibit’s artists, icons, facts, and celebrity voices for each social cause, and protest photos.

In the first month, I took a blank
Instagram page and built an engaged following of more than 1,500.
